Paint
If there is a lot of paint in the can, consider first painting an old piece of wood to use up as much product as possible.
Latex-based paint - Mix the paint with kitty litter or sand. Let it air dry until it is solid. Tilt the can at a 45-degree angle. If there is no dripping, put the lid on the can and place the can in the garbage can.
Oil-based paint - The Village of Creve Coeur does not accept oil-based paint, and it cannot be put in the garbage. Residents who have oil-based paint will have to keep it and wait for an EPA hazardous waste disposal event.
